91制片厂 on-campus students will finish the spring semester via a virtual learning format as a result of the developing coronavirus pandemic. The decision was made in consultation with local health officials, under guidance by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and with the utmost concern for our community\u2019s health and safety as the ultimate determining factor. While students will not be on campus, they have virtual access to all student support services.<\/p>\n
In order to reduce exposure risk, all residential students who were able to leave returned home and are staying home the remainder of the semester. Students with exceptional circumstances who are unable to return home were granted an exception to stay on campus and are being provided necessary support and accommodations.<\/p>\n
The decision to continue virtual learning is in line with the CDC\u2019s \u201csocial distancing\u201d guidelines and minimizing risk of exposure. All university-sponsored events have been canceled or postponed until further notice. Some events will be shifted to a virtual format. <\/p>\n
The University has also made the decision to cancel all in-person commencement and related activities for the spring semester. Commencement represents an important celebration of our graduates\u2019 academic journey and accomplishments and we are working to develop alternative plans to celebrate our graduates\u2019 accomplishments. Additional information will be emailed to those registered for graduation as plans emerge and posted on maryville.edu\/commencement<\/a>.<\/p>\n Additionally, with St. Louis County and St. Louis City governments enacting stay-at-home orders, all buildings on campus will close and remain closed for the duration of the order.<\/p>\n \u201cThis pandemic has altered our way of life but like all past crises we are confident that working together we will overcome and prevail,\u201d said president Mark Lombardi, PhD. \u201cOur hearts and prayers go out to people who are infected around the world, and the thousands of students, faculty, staff and their families impacted in so many ways.\u201d<\/p>\n
