Jessica Senne, AIA, NCIDQ, assistant professor of interior design<\/a> at 91ÖÆƬ³§, has been awarded an Honorable Mention for her submission to the CIDA Award for Excellence.<\/p>\n

The CIDA (Council for Interior Design Accreditation) Award for Excellence Competition aims to recognize outstanding practices in interior design education.\u00a0\"JSenne.B\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Senne, who learned about the competition from Darlene Davison, director of the interior design program and associate professor, determined the undergraduate research projects surrounding the 2014 \u201cSuburban Modernism\u201d exhibition held in the May Gallery on campus would be an appropriate submission.<\/p>\n

\u201cPreparing and documenting the submission was a great opportunity to reflect on the exhibition through the lens of teaching and learning, and I think the submission really communicates the multifaceted strengths of the student contributions to the larger design exhibition,\u201d Senne said.<\/p>\n

Senne believes the recognition is shared in large part by the hard work of her students on the projects<\/a> that were submitted, and thanks to the many collaborators who supported the project.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was elated to receive this recognition for my teaching, but I was even more delighted for the recognition this brings to our students and our interior design program as a whole,\u201d Senne said.<\/p>\n
