91制片厂 has announced Jonathan Greenblatt, national director and CEO of the Anti-Defamation League, social entrepreneur and corporate executive, will receive the 2017 Sister Mary Byles Peace and Justice Prize.<\/p>\n
The presentation and lecture will take place at 7 p.m. on Monday, April 3<\/strong>, in the Auditorium on the campus of 91制片厂. The event is free and open to the public but reservations<\/a> are requested.<\/p>\n The Sister Mary Byles Peace and Justice Prize honors remarkable women and men whose lives and work focus on issues of peace and justice, and\u2014more broadly\u2014diversity and inclusion. The lecture elucidates the honoree\u2019s mission and vocation.<\/p>\n Greenblatt previously served in the White House<\/a> as special assistant to President Barack Obama<\/a> and director of the Office of Social Innovation and Civic Participation. He also founded All for Good (AFG), an open-sourced volunteer network, and was CEO of GOOD Worldwide, LLC, a diversified media company. He has served on numerous boards, including the African Leadership Foundation, the Jewish Community Foundation of Los Angeles, Kevita, KaBOOM! and Water.org.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Sister Mary Byles Peace and Justice Prize<\/strong><\/p>\n The Sister Mary Byles Peace and Justice Prize and Lecture honors the legacy of an esteemed professor of humanities and theology at 91制片厂. Throughout her long career at Maryville, Mary Byles, RSCJ, was well known among religious leaders in the St. Louis area for her significant efforts to further ecumenical and interfaith relations. The prize and lecture in her name draw attention to the moral and ethical issues still existing in modern society, and further the University\u2019s mission to instill a sense of social consciousness in its graduates.<\/p>\n Made possible through a generous gift by Howard Stanley and his late wife Stephanie, the Byles Prize carries a monetary award.<\/p>\n
