Each year on this day, all students, faculty, staff and alumni are encouraged to share their time and talent in service to the community. Participants engage in a wide variety of service opportunities in and around St. Louis. <\/p>\n<p>Organizers expected record participation for the event.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/D7wAqh5iuQo?rel=0&amp;controls=0&amp;showinfo=0\" frameborder=\"1\" allow=\"autoplay; encrypted-media\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe love and support Maryville students, staff, faculty and alumni have for the St. Louis community is one of the strongest attributes to the success of MRO.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cMaryville Reaches Out has shown continuous growth for the past 10 years,\u201d says Brittany Pomilee, student coordinator of Maryville Reaches Out. \u201cWe fully expect to see the volunteer record surpassed again.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-lang=\"en\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MRO17?src=hash&amp;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#MRO17<\/a> making BJC Hospice blankets <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/XbaYWl8YxO\">pic.twitter.com\/XbaYWl8YxO<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; 91制片厂 (@MaryvilleU) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaryvilleU\/status\/910223490044874753?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">September 19, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Volunteers will perform landscape work at various locations, take residents of Delmar Gardens West to the Saint Louis Zoo, bag pet food for the Bi-State Food Pantry, tackle a painting project at Emmaus Homes and more.  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe love and support Maryville students, staff, faculty and alumni have for the St. Louis community is one of the strongest attributes to the success of MRO,\u201d says Pomilee, a junior pre-med student. \u201cBeing a volunteer and the student coordinator of MRO is quite humbling.
